Villa Ava is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom villa on a hillside in the village of Asomatos, part of a modern complex of villas. The house enjoys open views over the mountains towards the sea, and life here happens mostly outdoors: a private pool, a terrace with sunbeds, and an outdoor dining area for long lunches and evening meals. Inside it is bright and comfortable, with air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchen and everything needed for a relaxed stay in southern Crete. The pool can be heated on request at an extra charge, which makes the villa a good choice in spring and autumn as well as summer.
The space
The villa is laid out over two levels connected by an internal staircase. The living area, with sofa, TV and dining table, opens directly onto the terrace and pool, and the kitchen is fully equipped with oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee maker. There is also a washing machine. The two bedrooms each have their own bathroom, and the villa sleeps four in total. Outside, there is the private pool with sunbeds and parasols, an outdoor dining table, a barbecue and an outdoor kitchen area. Free parking is available at the villa.

Access & arrival
Guests have the whole villa, terrace and pool to themselves. Check-in is self-service via a key box; the code and directions are sent before arrival. Also, there is a private parking in front of the house.
The neighbourhood
Asomatos is a small traditional village in the hills above the south coast of Rethymno. A taverna and a mini-market are a short drive away, and the beaches of the south coast, including Plakias and Preveli, are within easy reach by car. Rethymno town makes a good day trip.
Getting there
A car is recommended for exploring the area and reaching the beaches. The villa is roughly an hour and a quarter from Heraklion airport and under an hour from Rethymno. The final stretch is an asphalt hill road up to the complex, with parking at the house.
House rules
Check-in from 15:00, check-out by 10:00. No smoking indoors. No parties or events. Pets are not allowed. Please respect the quiet of the neighbouring villas in the evening. Children are welcome; please supervise them around the pool. Pool heating is available on request at an extra charge.
